Why did you get into Fitness?

I LOVE moving, it's actually quite rare to ever see me standing still! I've been competitive in sports from a very young age and it's encompassed things like Equestrian, rock climbing, snow boarding, mountain biking and even tree climbing!  My biggest issue is that I get bored VERY quickly.. until CrossFit came along. 2010 to... My plan is to be still training at 80!

What inspired you to become a coach?

Helping people is what I do.  7 years as Medical Radiation Therapist has proven invaluable as the owner of Reebok CrossFit 09.  I am so lucky to be surrounded by incredible people every single day. Our community here is so special, we are from all walks of life and yet we all have a common goal, to be the best versions of ourselves so we can live the lives we dream of.

Always been active and been apart of different sports all my life, gymnastics, dance, horseback riding and of course all the other school sports, so when I tried  CrossFit (recommended by my brother) it just stuck!

What inspired you to become a coach?

I love helping people become the most fit they have ever become. Being a part of their journey to live long and healthy lives is an amazing feeling. When I started CrossFit my coaches help me become the best version of myself and I wanted to do that for others too.

What year did you start CrossFitting?

2014 at CrossFit Elviria in Spain

Why did you get into Fitness?

I realised it was smarter and less painful to prevent something breaking than having to fix it. For me total fitness includes physical fitness but also nutritional, emotional and social fitness. By the way.... I love that Reebok CrossFit 09 is focussed on these other aspects too, I have never seen this holistic approach in any other box.

What inspired you to become a coach?

I love moving, I love being around positive people and I love being able to make a difference. I watched a speech by Tim Minchin the Australian comedian on his 9 life lessons (Google it, its well worth a watch), lesson No. 4 was 'Exercise' and No. 6 was 'Be a Teacher'. I combined these and completed my Level 1 in 2015 and love being a CrossFit coach.

What is your favourite CrossFit movement?

I love watching well executed bar muscle ups, where it looks effortless and graceful. I had 1 x MU as one of my 2018 goals, as well as to stay injury free. I managed a MU (not very gracefully) but then failed at the other goal :( ... recovery has been tough and has taught me some valuable lessons.

What is your favourite outside activity?

Hiking. Nothing better than a gorgeous day tramping in the hills with a good buddy and a cold one at the end of it as a reward and a warm one to aid sleep.

How do you like your coffee?

Strong... with whiskey, sugar and whipped cream... like the Irish :).
